Google cars will be driving around our country today shooting panoramic pictures of our streets in order to integrate them into google maps streetview.
Some may find this invading of privacy, other (me) think it’s cool to be able to navigate and have a 360 degree view street by street of our small Grand-Duchy in the palm of your hand. What our your thoughts?
Google has updated it’s popular Google Mobile iPhone App that fixes the issues of OS 3.0 affecting the voice search feature.
When you installed the iPhone 3.0 operating system, you would have noticed that lifting the receiver to your ear and speaking your command would no longer function.
Google admittedly broke Apple’s rules by releasing such a feature. Specifically, moving the phone to your ear and having the application change to listen for you to speak, was not a supported developer feature in the iPhone SDK so when iPhone 3.0 OS came out, it seemed to have broke that neat feature.
With the new update to the Google Mobile App this is now fixed and works as before.

Google Voice app GV Mobile ported to jailbroken iPhones, web app version in the works
de Engadget de Ross Miller
So well-mannered, straight-laced iPhone users got a pretty big slap in the face yesterday by way of Apple’s (and AT&T’s, no doubt) total Google Voice rejection. Looks like jailbreakers are picking up the pieces, as GV Mobile developer Sean Kovacs — whose app was in the iTunes store for some time before being yanked yesterday — has ported the Voice client over to Cydia free of charge, although donations are gladly accepted. Even more interesting, but less concrete, Kovacs said he was already working on a web app version, possibly for submission to Palm’s app catalog. No word on the fate of GVdialer, an app that was also unceremoniously pulled, but we wouldn’t be surprised if it followed in similar footsteps.
