I own a Mophie JuicePack Air, it’s a great case that ads some bulk but doubles my battery-lifetime. That’s a constraint I’m willing to deal with. Actually, many people saw my iPhone + Juice Pack and didn’t even notice it was an external battery pack. Anyway now that I’m on a holiday the case has become quite useful since I spend my day walking around the island without having any plug available during the day.
The downside, the added bulk makes my iPhone fat….too fat to fit in a holster of some kind.
Mophie has developed a set of one size fits all leather holsters for the Mophie Juice Packs. You can fit the whole juice pack (iPhone, too) into the holster and carry the whole package around on your belt. There are three different types: the 5000 is a square holster that doesn’t show the screen, the 5500 shows the screen, and the 6000 is a more rounded version of the 5500. I’m not really sure why the model names are numbers, but I’m sure avid Mophie users will be happy for the extra options.
You can pre-order your holster for $30 at Mophie.com.

We’ve seen plenty of solar chargers in our day — and we’re somewhat fond of them as a concept. Novothink’s just unveiled the first chargers for iPods and iPhones that’s officially licensed by Apple. These attractive little guys have integrated solar panels on the back with LEDs to let you know the state of your charge. If the sun fails you, there’s also a USB cable for standard, non eco-friendly charging. These chargers only work with the 2nd generation iPod touch — which will be available this month, while versions for the iPhone 3G and 3GS will be outed in November. They’ll run you $70.

We got news of website USBFever selling a multipurpose accessory, being at the same time case, external battery (1900mAh) and… Two sim adapter.

You remember the old trick of having a menu in the phone to be able to switch from one sim card to the other? Well, now, with this case, you’ll be able to do it on your iPhone. They claim the external battery would allow to stay “safe” for some days before having to recharge your iPhone (wouldn’t that be a dream?). It sells for 59.99$
In case somebody goes for it, don’t forget to drop us a line!
